"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

Don't measure a man's success
by how high he climbs but how
high he bounces when he hits
bottom.

We at Golden Visions Magazine of Science Fiction & Fantasy want to provide you with quality stories and entertainment.  Our writers are compensated for their work, and individual contracts are signed prior to publication.   We ask only for electronic rights for our online stories for the duration of their publication (quarterly) and North American Rights for our print edition.  All stories remain the property of the authors and they retain the copyright, and may not be reproduced or copied without the author's  express consent. (To do  otherwise could be considered fraud, plagiarism or theft, all punishable by law.)   Our magazines, both online and print issues are published quarterly.  Writers appearing in print receive a contributor copy along with payment.
If you wish to contact any writer, please send a note to the  editor (editor ); or, in the case of some of our authors, information is provided in their bio on how to contact them or find their personal websites.

Any similarities to persons, places, or things is purely coincidental.  None of the stories  reflect the opinions or ideology of our staff, nor do we imply that we agree with any viewpoints expressed.
In that same regard, we may at times feel that certain stories offer strong moral guidelines as well as insights to our own behavior as human beings.  While many laugh at the possibility that science fiction and fantasy stories offering any validity to literature, much less having any value in society- we here at GVM tend to disagree.  It wasn't that long ago that many laughed at the concepts that Jules Verne (late 1800's) wrote about in his stories- but we do have submarines and scuba, as well as space worthy  equipment today.  Most of our modern conveniences were but ideas in the minds of dreamers, inventors and scientists before they found their way into our homes and lives.

We strongly feel that all people have the right to believe as they wish; and that as long as your beliefs and opinions do not harm others either physically, psychologically, or spiritually they can only help us become better people.
You can not learn if you do not allow knowledge into your life.  You can not grow if you do not learn.  You can not mature if you remain stagnant.  Allow those around you to express their opinions, concerns, and beliefs- then share your own values, beliefs and knowledge with them.  This is how we learn...how we grow...how we mature as humans.

We donate 75-100 print issues each quarter to our Military, as a way of saying "Thank You for all you do."  This is done locally, at our neighboring Army base, Fort Benning, Georgia. Without those individuals who sacrifice so much for us we would not have the freedoms and opportunities that we enjoy in this great country.  Those wishing to contribute to this cause may do so by making a donation to our site at any time, for any amount.  This helps us continue providing free issues to our soldiers.
